In my town, we define “bonsai” different from it’s original meaning: miniaturized plant by using bonsai technique. Bonsai, in our definition, is a kind of plant characterized by the ball fruits with orange colored when they are mature enough. Kids use this fruit to play thus it can leave orange splash when it’s broken up in their clothes. But, before turning into the balls, they begin with lovely purple flowers with less than 1 cm diameter. I think I fall in love with that color 🙂
